Joe Wheeler's Ginetta Juniors race car

Positive learning curve for season opener

Joe Wheeler completed his first weekend in Ginetta Juniors by securing 3 race finishes and improving throughout the event at Donington Park.

Joe Wheeler with his 2020 GinettaThe Car Gods 54 backed driver, who previously raced in the Junior Saloon Car Championship in 2019, knew he had taken on a steep learning curve by entering the Ginetta Juniors 2020 - Switching from FWD to RWD along with sequential gearbox and not to mention taking on one of the most competitive championships in the UK. But it's certainly a challenge Joe is thriving in.

Joe impressed throughout by improving lap times and outracing many fellow competitors who have been competing a lot longer - running just outside the top 10 at times - securing 3 race finishes and gaining valuable experience.

Just one week later, a hot weekend of racing at Brands Hatch saw Joe get a whole load more race experience in the Ginetta Junior Championships. Once again, Joe achieved 3 race finishes, including his highest finishing position of the season so far in 12th place!
